What this does not do
The honest list. Read it before you rely on anything here.
Most software describes what it can do. This page describes what it cannot, because on a trademark file the gap between the two is where rights are lost. Nothing here is buried elsewhere in smaller type.
It does not watch the Registry for you
The docket knows what has been recorded in it and nothing else. It does not poll the Trade Marks Registry, does not read the Journal on your behalf, and will not notice an examination report, an opposition or a removal notice unless somebody enters it. If a file goes quiet in the application, that means nobody has updated it — not that nothing has happened.
It never bypasses a CAPTCHA or an access control
The Registry's systems are protected deliberately. This application does not defeat those protections, does not automate against them, and never will. Verification against the official record is something you do; the application records that you did it and what you saw.
It does not file anything and does not act for you
No form is submitted, no fee is paid, nobody is put on the record, and no period is stopped by anything you do here. Recording a deadline is not meeting it.
It calculates nothing it has no rule for
Where no timeline rule has been sourced for an event, the application produces no deadline for it and says so plainly on the screen rather than inventing one. A quiet timeline is not a safe timeline: it may simply mean the engine has nothing to say about that event yet. The legal references page lists what is covered.
A date is only as good as the date it ran from
Several periods run from the date a document reached you, not the date printed on it — the reply to an examination report under rule 33(4) is the one that catches people. If the receipt date has not been entered, no deadline appears at all. The application tells you which date each rule needs, before you save, but it cannot know a date nobody has given it.
Registry closures are provisional until you load the real list
A deadline that lands on a day the office is closed moves. The application ships a placeholder list of closures so that dates are not wrong by default, and it marks any date it moved for that reason. Until the Registry's official annual notification is loaded, treat a moved date as needing a check. A year with no closure data at all is treated as unknown rather than as having none.
Where the law is unsettled, it stays unsettled
On the opposition evidence periods the High Courts disagree, and which reading applies depends on the registry office. The application shows both, names the courts, and recommends professional verification. It does not resolve a split the courts have not resolved, and a date shown that way should never be relied on without advice.
Reminders depend on email actually working
Reminders are scheduled by the application and delivered by an email service. Email is not a guaranteed medium: it is filtered, delayed and silently dropped every day. A reminder you did not receive is not evidence that a deadline was not due. The docket itself is the record; the email is a convenience.
It is not legal advice
Using this application does not make Ragulika IP your agent or your lawyer, and does not create any professional relationship. Nothing it displays is advice on your matter. Where it says "critical" it is describing a consequence in the Act, not making a judgement about your file.
What it is good at
With that said: everything it does show, it can explain. Every date names the event it came from, the rule, the version of that rule, the statutory reference, and whether the underlying event was confirmed against the official record or taken on trust. If a date looks wrong, the working is one click away — and if the working is wrong, tell us, because that is a bug and we will fix it.
